I love how flowers punctuate memories. Perhaps it’s the masterful art displaying sight + smell. Maybe the language we know but can’t decipher. Or the electrical songs they sing to our cells. Chance meetings accumulating to build relationship. Why we want/need them more and more as we grow. Their beauty becoming intrinsic to moving forward well. And the leaving, we must have them at any leaving, big or small. Birds of Paradise is one of those flowers for me. The very first flower I remember being given as a young girl, never to forget. Now to see them cropping up most unexpectedly. To mark milestones, celebrate victories and hold any tears that may come to fill in the porous spaces of my existence. They greet my heart then and now, sewing flexibility of time into my personal fabric and embroidering themselves delicately upon my surrounding fields.
Flora Speak is a 2-hour gathering via Zoom centering on our relationship to the plant kingdom. We will connect with flower and plant medicine at the energetic level as well as talk to the tress. Experiencing tangible ways of connecting with our flora family while exploring grounding and communication approaches we can use at home or within wild spaces. Interact with the flora kingdom in the way the fauna kingdom enjoys. You are welcome to suggest a certain plant or tree you would like to connect with as well!
